1. Who publishes the app

Football Quiz is published by Maestrow, a sole proprietorship operated by Maé Martins--Charavel, registered with the Quebec enterprise registrar under NEQ 2282417783, in Notre-Dame-des-Bois, Quebec, Canada, reachable at maemartinscharavel@gmail.com.

2. What you may do

Install the app on your personal devices and play as much as you like, for free. No sign-up is required. The game works without a connection.

3. What you may not do

• choose a nickname that is abusive, hateful, sexually explicit, impersonates someone, or advertises a product or service;
• distort the leaderboard: automation, modifying the app, forged requests to the server;
• extract, republish or resell the game's content — questions, data, artwork;
• decompile the app, except as permitted by law.

A nickname that breaks these rules is refused automatically on submission. After three distinct reports the entry is removed from the leaderboard, and its identifier stays on the suspension list for one year. The game itself stays playable: there is no account to close.

4. The leaderboard

The Competition leaderboard is an optional service. You decide whether to take part at the end of your first run, and you can opt out or erase your data at any time from within the app. We do not guarantee permanent availability or indefinite retention of scores: runs are purged after one hundred days, cards after one year of inactivity.

5. Content posted by players

The only content you publish is your nickname and your badge colour. You remain responsible for it. An automatic filter and a reporting mechanism apply, and anyone can hide players they no longer wish to see.

6. Purchases

Any purchases are made and billed by the App Store or Google Play under their own terms. Refund requests go to them, not to us. Virtual currency and items have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged or refunded, and disappear with the app.

Coin packs and the Starter Pack are one-time purchases. They do not restore on another device: the game is played without an account to create, so those purchases are tied to the installation. The Quiz Pass does restore.

7. The Quiz Pass

The Quiz Pass is a monthly auto-renewing subscription. It grants unlimited lives and upgraded quests.

• Length: one month, renewed automatically.
• Price: shown in the app, in your currency, before you buy. It is set from a price tier at Apple and Google and therefore varies by country and taxes, which is why no amount is written here.
• Billing: payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, then again at each renewal.
• Renewal: the subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The account is charged within the 24 hours before the end of each period.
• Cancellation: at any time, from your account settings — Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone, Google Play → Payments and subscriptions on Android. We have no control over this: only the store can cancel a subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, which remains usable until then.
• Restoring: Shop → Restore purchases recovers an active Quiz Pass on a new device, using the same store account.

An unused subscription is not refunded by us; refund requests are handled by Apple or Google.

8. Third-party content

Club names, crests, player names and statistics are used for identification purposes in a trivia game. They belong to their respective owners. Football Quiz is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by any club, league or federation. Any rights holder may request the removal of an image by writing to us; we answer within 48 hours.

9. Accuracy

Questions are generated from a public statistics database. Errors are possible, especially on recent transfers. The game is provided "as is", with no warranty of accuracy, and we cannot be held liable for a wrong answer.

10. Termination

You end these terms by uninstalling the app. We may suspend leaderboard access for a player who seriously or repeatedly breaks section 3.

11. Changes

These terms may change; the version in force is the one published on this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the province of Quebec and the laws of Canada applicable therein. In case of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first. If you play from another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of your local law still apply: nothing here deprives you of a protection the law of your place of residence grants you.
